The Story
A modern fairy tale about diversity and inclusion
When the Earth Shook
The World of Colors is a planet composed of five separate kingdoms, each dominated by a single color: Geal (white), Qiotàr (yellow), Veidhlin (red), Mearchlàr (blue), and Umùkar (black). Each people shares the color of their land and dedicates their life to a single, specific musical instrument.
When a terrible earthquake destroys the city of Nòllag in the white Kingdom of Geal, killing his entire family, Bein, a ten-year-old boy, is convinced he is left alone in the world.
Searching for a place to live outside his kingdom, he tries to take refuge in the other kingdoms but is always rejected, because his white color belongs to none of them. Desperate, he paints his skin blue with blueberry juice and resin to pretend to be an inhabitant of the Kingdom of Mearchlàr.
When one day his friends discover his secret, Bein fears being cast out once again. To his great surprise, however, the children decide to help him instead of denouncing him. Guided by the director Caryl, they set out in search of the legendary Land of Emotions and its millennial guardian, Shiansach.
There Bein gains access to all the colors and all the instruments of the world. The children create an extraordinary show — telling Bein's own story through music, instruments, and colors that fuse into one great harmony.
Deeply moved, the rulers of the five kingdoms make a historic decision. They abdicate their thrones and entrust governance of the planet to the wise Shiansach. From that day, the World of Colors is no longer a planet divided into separate kingdoms, but a place where colors mix and coexist, like one great living painting.
